The Marlowe Singers
The Marlowe Singers – Singing is good for you so why not join a choir!!
We meet on Thursday evenings during term times from 7.45 to 9:45pm at St Andrews Arts Centre in Gravesend.
The Marlowe Singers were founded over 30 years ago by Peter Marlowe, a Gravesend based singer. Originally a mixed voice choir, we are now an all female choir of seventeen singers but we are always on the look out for new members. We sing a wide range of music including sacred, folk songs, popular songs and more classical pieces. The choir gives regular concerts mainly for charity and have also been invited to perform at private events.
We are currently planning an Easter Concert in March and our Summer concert in early July.
For more information or to book the choir, please contact chair Catherine Gurney (firstname.lastname@example.org or 07900 892551) or Jenny Weston, Choir Secretary, 01474 822 440,

335 Riverside Guitar Club
At The 335 Riverside Guitar Club (in association with Gravesham Arts)
We welcome ALL who are keen to play guitar. If you are an improver/intermediate or a returning guitar player, then our club is for you.
We will help you develop in a relaxed supportive environment. Our club can also support those who may wish to pursue guitar music grades.
The mission of the club is to encourage players of varying ability to learn, develop and build confidence in a group scenario with the objective, for those
who wish, of working towards performances (e.g. friends & family and events like the recent Gravesham Arts’ festival “Something For The Weekend”).
Both tutored and ‘jam style’ sessions are held at St Andrew’s Arts Centre, Royal Pier Road, Gravesend, Kent, DA12 2BE on a regular set of Saturday
mornings throughout the year.

Gravesend Borough Band
Gravesend Borough Band are a concert band composed of around 30 friendly amateur players, with a wide range of ages. The band has existed for over 135 years, and we feel proud to have this history behind us. We also have a training band, primarily aimed at encouraging young musicians to become more proficient, and to continue to become members of the full band as their experience grows.
During a year we play concerts and at events both locally, and on bandstands in and around Kent. We vary our programme from one concert to the next and our repertoire includes selections and themes from shows and films, popular light music, and marches. Our future engagements include:
26/01/2018 Gravesend’s annual memorial service for General Charles Gordon C.B.
17/06/2018 Henry Wellcome Bandstand, Central Park, Dartford.
25/06/2018 Armed Forces’ Day Flag-Raising, Gravesend
26/08/2018 Folkestone Leas Bandstand
02/09/2018 Broadstairs Bandstand
