GRAVESHAM ARTS are delighted you’re participating in ‘Something for the weekend 2017 .. don’t mind if we do!’ and we don’t mind if you do too! In it’s third fabulous year ‘Something for the weekend’ aims to promote arts, heritage … in fact all things lovely in our stunning riverside town. This year we welcome on board LightVessel 21 (arts venue), The Town Pontoon Co., The Royal Clarendon Hotel, the fabulous Borough Market, The Studio & Blake Gallery at the Woodville.

1.ST ANDREWS GARDEN & MAINSTAGE LV21
On the gardens Monica’s Vintage Fair including SCRUMPTIOUS FOOD. On the decks of LV21, Saturday COMPERE Viv the Spiv, Swingtime Sweethearts, Scott Elvis & Spittin’ Feathers, Sunday COMPERE Adam Hoffman, My Favourite Things, Scott Elvis & Balalaika.
2.ST ANDREWS ARTS CENTRE
IMAGES Photo Exhibition, through the Arts Centre to The Mission House Garden (by kind permission of the owner) to an open jamming session from 335 Guitar Club bring your guitar and join in.
3.THE TOWN PONTOON
Will see VINTAGE SHIPS, open for viewing Vic 56 Steam ship built in 1945, affectionately known as a ‘Puffer’. Steam Tug Portwey, built in 1927, the only remaining twin screw, coal fired steam tug active in UK.
MT Kent an 88’
motor tug, built in 1948 for J P Knight of Rochester to berth ships. Meet The Thames & Medway Canal Association & the RNLI.
ST Portwey
celebrates her 90th birthday at Something for the weekend, guests are invited to join her on Friday 4th August, in London embarking at Mast House Terrace Pier for the 2 to 3 hour trip to Gravesend Town Pier. A donation of £35 per person is requested to cover steaming costs.

4.ROYAL CLARENDON HOTEL
(on the lawn) ‘MUD’ MAKERS MARKET, a diverse and eclectic mix of original fine art, crafts, jewellery, ceramics textiles and more.

5.ROYAL CLARENDON FUNCTION ROOM
(indoors) The Embroiderers Guild & the Victoria Printmakers collaborate to bring you STITCH AND PRINT EXHIBITION and workshop with items for sale too.

6.GRAVESEND BOROUGH MARKET,FOOD FAYRE,
With fabulous food & drink, including ENTERTAINMENT over the weekend from Jamie Johnson (from the Voice ), Jason Allen Sway & Mr Creosote and more. Li’l Riders on the Piazza, Saturday only
